A pedestrian near Lviv moved a pedestrian – whether he would be punished for his life

On the night of February 1, it became fatal for one of the residents of Lviv region. A man crossing the crosswalk was beaten by an employee of the Border Guard Service of Ukraine. Such information our Lviv Reporter received from the State Bureau of Investigation.

An accident occurred in the village of Ugrinov, around midnight. The place belongs to the Sokol district in Lviv region. A member of the Lviv Region Border Guard Regular Service was moving on a Volkswagen Transporter service car. He was traveling in the border with Poland.

A military man ran into a man who was incompatible with life. The victim died immediately at the scene.

Investigators working in the regional DBS department in Lviv are currently conducting a preliminary investigation into the Border Guard.

If proven guilty, he will face a sentence of imprisonment for a term of 2 to 5 years. Investigative actions are carried out upon violation of the rules of management and operation of military equipment, special transport, resulting in the death of the victim (Article 415, paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code).

Police were seized by law enforcement. The pre-trial investigation is being conducted by the prosecutor’s office of the Lviv garrison in the West of the country.
