A new organization, the Heritage Bureau, is now operating in Lviv. Pavel Bogaychyk was appointed to that position.
Lviv Deputy Mayor A. Moskalenko posted on his Facebook account that the Heritage Bureau is an old enterprise that has been reformed – it used to be Lviv Municipal Enterprise Archaeological and Architectural Service.
According to the Deputy Mayor, the bureau was created to create updated heritage protection programs as well as to protect tangible and intangible heritage.
The new head of the bureau, P. Bogaychyk, also commented on the new structure. He believes the bureau will allow the continuation of co-financing programs for restoration work on the windows and gates of the city, and will open additional similar programs. In addition, the bureau’s mission will be educational work.
Prior to his appointment, P. Bogaychyk worked as a leading specialist in the department of accounting and control of cultural heritage in a department under the authority of the City Council of Lviv.
In 2019, the former appointee received a salary of 205,000 UAH. However, in the declaration he did not mention the presence of immovable or movable property, except for a house of 66 m2 and a plot of land of 13 hectares. The owner of these properties is Paul’s father.
